I have experienced a lot in the past few years of Internet marketing, especially when it comes to building relationships. But what is a relationship on the Internet really worth? Is it the same as a relationship in the real world, or is stronger or weaker? I think that it can be both, some relationships can be stronger and some weaker. Some people that I only meet using the Internet get more of my time, and I communicate more with them than with some members of my own family.
But what is real in the world of Internet marketing?
I have really no clue of who you really are. You can be 20 years old or you can be 70 years old, you can be a man or a woman, you can live in Europe or you can live in Africa. I really have no clue, but I trust most people to tell me the truth.
But if you are using the Internet mainly to earn an income, you might want to think twice before you trust a mentor or a guru. There are a lot of them, and even though they say that they are rich and their business is the best, they are saying it for you to join them (and that’s usually the only reason). Even though they have pictures of their mansion and their Ferrari, you don’t know for sure that he or she owns them (it’s rather easy to get a picture of a mansion and a Ferrari, even I could send you that).
I read a funny story about a mentor meeting one of his students, and this story is told by the student. He met his mentor and the student was kind of nervous to see if the mentor was all that he said he was, and that he really owned the house and the car and that he was just as successful as he had told him on the Internet.
I am not going to reveal the end of the story, because it’s a lot better if you read it yourself… Be Careful Of Who You Follow If You Want To Make Money Online, written by Alan Quan.
