What does the name Yahoo mean?

The other day I wrote a short piece on what the name Google means, today I thought why not find out what Yahoo means. Both Google and Yahoo are words that most people are now familiar with, but a few years ago almost nobody had heard the words before. Yahoo is also a weird word that would not find the way to my english dictionary/vocabulary without the help of the company.

To accomplish this task I turned to Wikipedia once again, and I found the answer in a few seconds. The name Yahoo is an acronym for “Yet Another Hierarchical Officious Oracle”.
