Waking up to chaos

I believe that it’s a bad habit to start working the very minute you get out of bed in the morning. It’s like waking up to chaos. Yes, in a matter of minutes I understand that it’s going to be a bad hair day.

Usually, I don’t:

… before breakfast.

But, once in a while I can’t help it.

Today is one of those days.

Waking up to chaos

This is the message I got when I opened the RSS feed from my blog:

rss error

It was working yesterday, everything was fine. All I did was publish a testimonial about Scribe. And now, it’s like I’m experiencing the heaven and hell of blogging all over again.

Waking up

As soon as I was awake, but before I had eaten breakfast, I tried to fix the problem. Since I don’t have much experience with RSS problems or other technical stuff, I looked for an easy fix. I searched for the answer to my error, and I found a plugin for wordpress called Fix RSS Feed.

I installed it, activated it, and clicked the button that said “fix wordpress rss feed error”. It said that it had fixed it, but I’m still struggling and looking for a way to solve my frustration.

The solution

There’s usually only one method that works for me after I realize that I have been waking up to chaos.

I guess this means that it’s time to start resolving the problem.

Been there done that bought the jeans factory.

Lots of good wishes that you can fix your situation! Taking a break is just plain sheer wisdom – often the answer arrives at our fingertips if we just give it enough time to poke its head out. Takes experience to recognize that….

    • Thanks a lot Barbara. I still don’t know what to do, but hopefully everything will be fine when I wake up tomorrow (and I won’t understand why it happened, or why it’s fixed) 🙂

Not these are most frustrating errors!

I remember waking up to a hacked blog earlier this week. As a result, I did not take breakfast, did not take shower and even missed the college!

Hope you can get it fixed soon. To me RSS looks fine. I checked it at calidation tool and it works great.

These errors, most of the times are caused by plugins that add unnecessary info to feeds.

I had to laugh (and empathise) – it’s earlyish on Sunday morning, I’m in jamas and half asleep wondering whether I’ll go back to bed and sleep some more or go out as planned but I couldn’t resist checking e mails etc This isn’t a bad hting to do but I think replying to emails should be done later otherwise you make a knee jerk reaction and probably a stack of typos. Same thing with jumping in to tweet or comment on FB.

    • I wish it was Sunday morning here as well, and that I can head back to bed. Instead it’s 5 pm and I am about to plan Monday 🙂

It’s probably ok to check email early in the morning, but as you are saying, stay away from replying or tweeting (stay away from communicating) until you’re awake 🙂

I have a hard time not to respond when I see a message that I should respond to. That’s why I shouldn’t do anything early in the morning 🙂

Man you’re really awesome in writing articles. Well, this is my first visit here and you made me to laugh while reading my first post in your blog. Have you solved the RSS problem yet, if not let me know. I can help you. BTW I never work or do anything until I have had my breakfast 🙂

    • Hey Satish,

Thanks a lot. I’m not sure if I have solved it, although it seems like it’s ok. But when I add my comments sites that are using CommentLuv, I can’t no longer add my website, I need to add my whole feed, and that’s not right (I used to be able to add my URL and that was it). But if you can subscribe to my website, then I’m happy 🙂

Thanks a lot for your comment.

I’m not gonna lie, I actually love checking my email first thing in the morning! I sleep with my laptop on the desk right next to my bed, and so I just wake up and lean over to grab my laptop. I’ve checked my email, Twitter, and blog all before I get out of bed.

And I love every second of it!

And your RSS feed looks fine to me right now.

    • Hi Tristan,

I’m not gonna lie either, and most of the time I check my email first thing in the morning as well. Although I try not to. But now, after years of struggling I always receive a lot of interesting emails, so I just can’t wait to read them.

Thanks a lot for your comment.
