Using Instant SlideUp to grab attention

February 14, 2008

Blogging

I am currently using an exit popover to grab attention and to get my visitors to sign up for my newsletter. It’s rather effective, and I have doubled or maybe even tripled the number of subscribers since I started using it. But today I discovered something that might be even more effective, it’s called Instant SlideUp and it’s a little different than the popover.

You can see how it works over at Dirk’s Crazy Week Deals. Take a look at the bottom of the page, it takes a few seconds before it appears. What do you think? Would you have seen it if I hadn’t told you about it?

I think that Instant SlideUp looks great and that it might be worth the $67 investment, and if you really would like a cool design, they can make you a custom design for $67.

It’s not as annoying as a popover, and it did grab my attention right away.

I think that’s an ingenius way to promote! I’ll have to add that to my blog since I talk about sound and proven marketing methods in a mlm business. Thanks for the post!

The reason for it not being activated is that I have received, and I am still receiving better sign up rates for my newsletter by using a pop over sign up form (it's only showing once for each visitor). And when I have a pop over activated, I don't want to use instant slideup.

$67 is quite expensive for an instant slideup in your website or blog.

Well, I have seen less expensive ones, but it all depends on the quality. If it's of high quality and you get a lot of new subscribers because of it, then I don't think it's expensive :)
