When Should You Quit Your Job?

Even though my thoughts on this topic is not really related to Seth Godin, you should read The Dip. Sometimes quitting is the best decision, sometimes sticking is what you should be doing. It's an awesome book about any project or about any long term decision really.
Why Being Self-Employed is Tempting
Submitted by jens on Thu, 09/17/2009 - 19:05I’ve been working for somebody else ever since I finished my masters degree in Political Science nine years ago. It’s great working for somebody else if you enjoy the work, but at the same time it’s really tempting being self-employed.
There are at least five important aspects of being self-employed.

Submitted by jens on Sat, 09/12/2009 - 22:41Currently, I'm working for the Norwegian government. Well, it might sound a lot more exciting than it actually is.
I'm working for a public college. The work is interesting, I'm not writing this to complain., because working for the governement is not what you might think.
- people usually don't sleep at work
- there are not only useless meetings
- we're not just a bunch of lazy people
Don't get me wrong, there are some negative aspects of working for the government. I won't tell them to you.
