How To Create A Twitter List
Submitted by jens on Thu, 11/05/2009 - 22:29There are at least three reasons why you should use Twitter lists.
1) Twitter lists are a great way to organize your followers
2) Twitter lists are a great way to recommend followers
3) Twitter lists are a great way to measuring influence
I'll give you an example of how to create a list called blogging. It will be a list of interesting people tweeting about blogging.
A Crazy Idea From The Marketing Director
Submitted by jens on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 15:54
About a week ago, the news about a falling meteor that created a 27 feet wide crater in Latvia was spread across the world. It was in all the major newspapers, all the TV channels, and of course, on every major social media site. The phenomenon was named Splatvia.
This Was Totally Unexpected
Submitted by jens on Thu, 10/29/2009 - 01:50I didn't expect this to happen, at least not today.
I've been involved in the Internet marketing niche for a few years, and sometimes I stop and think that I've seen it all. There are new systems popping up every single day, there are new so-called gurus popping up, and there are actual gurus popping up once in a while.
Everytime I stop and think that I've seen it all, something happens. Something that makes me realize that I haven't actually seen anyhting at all. It's like I'm starting all over again, from scratch.
Using Twitter as News Aggregator
Submitted by jens on Mon, 10/26/2009 - 04:11What seems to be a long time ago, I was spending hours a day visiting newspapers online, and reading all sorts of stories. Then, I started using RSS (it also seems like ages ago), and aggregated all the news to my RSS reader. I spent less time, and read just as much. Now, things are evolving further with the use of Twitter.
I've discovered that Twitter can be even more useful, more than the major newspapers, and more than my RSS reader. It's all about combining Twitter search and Twitter stream aggregators.

How To Create Your Own Facebook Domain
Submitted by jens on Thu, 10/22/2009 - 22:20At Facebook, as Twitter, you can get your own domain. Now you can use facebook.com/username as your url, instead of the long and difficult to remember url. In order to get the short and sweet one, you need to do a few changes.
Two Reasons Why
First, it's a lot easier to remember and to share the url. Just remember a person's name, or the name of the company, and you'll find them on Facebook. And it looks a lot nicer when you send this new url to people.
Twitter Twiends and Twhores
Submitted by jens on Fri, 10/16/2009 - 01:06Twitter is an awesome way to share information, and it's an excellent way to build your brand and drive traffic to your websites.
When using Twitter, you should always be yourself. That's what I do, and that's what I always preach. No matter what. Well, except for one thing.
I'm 37 years old, probably a lot more boring than a lot of the young guys on Twitter. To my knowledge, I've never used any of the words in the Twitter dictionary, other than Twitter itself.
This might change, and you know what?
How To Track Your Tweets Using a Calendar
Submitted by jens on Wed, 09/30/2009 - 11:04There are two reason why you should consider tracking your own tweets.
First. By tracking your tweets, you'll get an overview of what you've published. This way you'll see the broader picture of your tweets. How many tweets you've published during the week/month, what time of the day you've published them, and what type of tweets you've published.
You'll learn a lot by looking at your own tweets. Sometimes you'll get embarrassed, sometimes you'll get proud. It's a lot easier to learn from your own mistakes when you track your own tweets.
3 Reasons Why I Schedule My Tweets
Submitted by jens on Mon, 09/28/2009 - 10:32I'm always writing my own tweets. It's not like I'm automating them, like many people do when it comes to direct messages. But, I'm not publishing my tweets immediately after I've written them.
I'm using a software called TweetAdder to schedule my tweets. I'm publishing them throughout the day and not all at the same time. It's because I'm not using Twitter more than twenty minutes a day (at a maximum), most of the time a lot less.
Using Twitter Hashtags For Marketing
Submitted by jens on Sat, 09/26/2009 - 00:34It's very helpful to follow tweets about a specific topic, and finding tweets related to a topic. That's what hashtags are all about, an easy way to find and categorize tweets. Hashtags are words on Twitter with the symbol # in front of it, like #marketing, #ebook or #iphone.
The New Twitter Spam?
Submitted by jens on Fri, 08/28/2009 - 00:34Lately, I’ve been receiving many tweets to my username (@berget) that hasn’t really been directed to me. They didn’t include a question, they didn’t include an RT, or anything related to anything about me other than my username. Well, they included affiliate links and my username. I think that’s the clue.
