I Have Been Involved In Drive-By Shooting
Submitted by jens on Sat, 03/06/2010 - 13:44I have been marketing online for a few years. I have been reading and studying. I have bought a lot of e-books, software, and various products. Some good, and some really awful. Untill now, I have been involved in drive by shooting.
Don't get me wrong. I'm using it as a metaphor. How I imagine drive by shooting feels like when you're holding the gun.
I Almost Forgot To Tell You The News
Submitted by jens on Mon, 02/22/2010 - 14:08Exciting News.
I almost forgot to tell you. I've launched my new blog about Twitter, it's called Twitter Virtue, and so far everything is going great. The blog is all about Twitter. How to use Twitter, and more or less, how to use Twitter for marketing purposes.
... and tell me what you think.
The Cat And The Loud Cry
Submitted by jens on Wed, 02/10/2010 - 20:59It's early in the morning, about 5 am. I'm freezing. I see the porch still covered with snow. I hear sounds, in the snow, nearby, then, scratching.
I'm at the kitchen. I look outside, it's the cat. This time he's by the window. It comes as no surprise, since he's here every single day. Outside, never inside. He's looking for food. I'm feeding him. Every single day.
This has been going on for 6 months.
How to Recruit the Best Students
Submitted by jens on Fri, 12/11/2009 - 18:07There are a number of reasons why universities and colleges try to recruit the best students or the most talented students.
My concern is not why, but how to recruit them.
There are many techniques that works when it comes to get students to enroll, but there are at least four techniques that I believe to work when it comes to recruiting the best students.
The best students have more options than the ordinary students, and I believe that talented people are more critical and that they use more logical reasoning when they decide where to enroll.
Making the foreign language internet pay
Submitted by jens on Wed, 12/09/2009 - 16:33The web is immediately international. And it’s on tap 24/7 to hundreds of millions of people, the vast majority of whom would prefer to conduct their web business in their own language. English speakers have a tendency to think everyone speaks English but while many foreigners do, research has shown web users are more than five times more likely to buy from a website with content in their own language. Importantly, three quarters of the Earth’s population speak no English at all.
Why legacy is important in marketing
Submitted by jens on Mon, 12/07/2009 - 17:39Legacy is an important part of any marketing strategy. Legacy is anything handed down from the past. The past of a business, a specific company, a product or a person. It could be anything from the past.
The past is important in order to understand the present and the future.
The local bakery
It's been here for more than 76 years. Three months ago they closed their doors. The owner was sick, he couldn't work anymore. I've talked to many of their customers, they were sad. They loved their local bakery.

I Received a Call from a Monster
Submitted by jens on Tue, 10/27/2009 - 11:44How Cool Is Word Of Mouth Marketing Really?
Submitted by jens on Sat, 10/24/2009 - 12:42Word of mouth is usually being referred to as passing information from person to person, and in the beginning it was all about oral communication. But now, it includes many types of communication between people. I thought, for a long time, that it had to be between two people to be called word of mouth. But I think that it needs to be between people, from one person to one or more people... that's all.
