Everything is about building value, especially when it comes to membership sites. That's why I decided to post an article from Membership Software Reviews in order to give you some information about how to build value for your membership sites.
Giving the impression of value is very important if you want to get members and keep those members. People want to feel like they have gotten more than they paid for.
Will Facebook launch a paid membership option?

Today I saw a sponsored poll at Facebook. The question was this:
Would you pay $3.99 a month to have no ads on Facebook?Is this a way for Facebook to see if they can start charging for a new kind of membership? Like a professional one, where you pay to get rid of all the ads? I took the poll and the results was so far 94% no and only 5% yes (1% missing?). Even though only 5% want to pay for a professional membership at Facebook, Facebook might want to try it.
How to Trick Members into Staying

Several companies are using an interesting marketing technique to trick their members into not cancelling their membership. I have talked to a few members of the companies I am referring to (I will not mention any names of companies that are using this technique) and all of them said that they don't think of this technique as a way to trick them into staying. This just shows how good this tecnhique really is.
You be the judge, is this a trick or not?
What the companies are doing is giving you a name depending on how long you have been a member.
