Tag and ping software

To get more traffic to your blog you could be using tags in your post related to the content of the post. Then when you ping certain sites your tags will get indexed. And then when people will search the sites like technorati for your tag, they might find your post and eventually come to your site to read it. This is the short story. And as you can see, I have tags at the bottom of all my posts, and I do get a few extra visitors a day from it.

I am doing this in a small scale, I could probably get a lot more traffic if I did it the “right” way. When I am talking about the “right” way, I am thinking about using more sites, like social bookmarking sites. I haven’t been doing that for several reasons, but now I think it’s the time to start exploring it.

I have found a few sites with software that could be helpful as well, but I am not sure how good they are. You can check out Tag Automator and Tag and Ping.
