A system that combines creating and learning

creating and learning

Sometimes, like right now, I am having doubts about what the balance should be between creating and learning. How much should I create vs how much time should I keep developing myself and my business?

A few minutes ago, I was reading a book, The Toilet Paper Entrepreneur, I discovered that I wasn’t thinking about what I was actually reading. I was thinking about what I should be creating, from what I was reading.

I was thinking about results.

I keep thinking more about creating than I am thinking about learning, and I am not sure if that’s a good thing or not.

On the other hand, I have come to realize that creating can also be a method of learning.

Right now, I am creating this blog post, and by creating it, I am learning a thing or two about myself. I am becoming a better writer, and I am learning that I am having a difficult time to read a book in one sitting. It doesn’t matter how good the book is, I can’t read more than a few chapters, before I start thinking about what I should be creating.

What I am trying to accomplish is to create a system that works, combining creating and learning, in a way that benefits my business. And, in the end, I will turn the system into a healthy habitΒ for myself and for my business.

Creating and learning must go hand in hand in order to be successful in what endeavor you are with. It is like give and take relationship.

Interesting, thanks for making me think. TODAY I read a blog post and wrote a follow up post. I guess learning and creating does go hand in hand.

In my opinion, if you don’t create, you don’t learn. So creating should be 60% and learning 40% – even if you make mistakes, you learn from them. Do you follow me?

    • You’re right, that’s why I have been focusing on combining creating and learning too. When I am reading a book, I am thinking about what I can do with the knowledge, and usually I start to create something before I finish reading πŸ™‚

When we are creating something actually we are also learning by doing.
Why because we make use our brain to solve the problem when we face some difficulties while creating something.
And the best learning method is learning by doing or creating something.
Good posting! Thank you for sharing.

    • That’s true Heru. My problem is mostly the opposite, when I am focused on learning (like reading a book) without taking action and creating something. That’s why I have been trying to create something a lot more than just learning, I want to combine both, and that’s what works for me.

  7. Learning makes an experience in creating new things. So creativity can be generated from learning lots of things.

  8. combining creating and learning is always a good thing. It leads to success.Learning is always important and it open the door for creation and invention if we are enthusiastic people.

There is no limited learning and there is no limited creation. The more we learn the more we develop our way of thinking and creating.Creation is always the good way toward success .

    • I used to read a lot more than I do at the moment, and that’s mostly because I believe that I should have more focus on creating than on learning, action is a very important part of doing business.

The key towards creating and inventing is of course learning and not any learning , learning by heart.

Learning is a great thing.Knowledge is power as we know.To learn means to broaden your mind and open it.That leads to thinking and creating that’s it.

    creativity is part of learning.

Creating and learning are connected to each other in a way or in another. There is no creation without learning and hard working. And there is no useful learning if it doesn’t lead to creation and invention.
