I recently stumbled upon a different kind of blog, it was the blog of Dean Hunt. A man I didn’t know anything about before my visit to his blog.
I ended up subscribing to his RSS feed and downloaded his report The Web Traffic Orgasm (because the title fascinated me). Now, I understand that Dean Hunt is someone to watch and listen to when it comes to Buzz Marketing.
What is Buzz Marketing?
Buzz Marketing is about creating content that will be linked to and discussed.
What is Viral Marketing?
Viral Marketing is the art of creating a message that people will spread for you.
Buzz Marketing and Viral Marketing are not identical but the terms are related.
The Web Traffic Orgasm is a case study by Dean Hunt, and if you want to know more about Buzz Marketing, then I really recommend that you read this free report. I am not going to reveal much, because you should download and read The Web Traffic Orgasm yourself, but I am going to point out a few interesting things.
Dean Hunt is successful, he is providing us with proof. Proof about how much he is earning, and proof about how many visits he is receiving because of his buzz marketing campaigns.
He is writing about some of the tricks he is using, 9 tricks that makes a rather normal boring article into a cool buzzworthy article, and it doesn’t look that difficult.
He is also writing about the long-term effects of Buzz and Viral Marketing, and he explains one of the questions that I have been thinking about for some time:
