I have been using many social sharing plugins, too many to mention in a blog post. Some of the plugins I have been using have crashed my blog, and some have been rather good. And, Digg Digg, the plugin I have been using until I switched a few weeks ago, was the best one for what I was looking for. But, after I discovered Share Juice Pro developed by the brilliant Ashvini Saxena, I am never going to look for another social sharing plugin.
First of all, I have crossed paths with Ashvini on several occasions before, and he has always been very helpful, whenever I have had a question, he had the answer. This way, he has been building trust for a long time. And, when I noticed that he had released Sharing Juice Pro, I had to test it, at first, just because Ashvini had been helping me a lot in the past and I already knew that he was an awesome programmer.
What is Share Juice Pro?
When I read the first paragraphs about the plugin at Adrienne’s blog, I thought that it was just another social sharing plugin for WordPress. But, after I finished reading the article and started testing it myself, I understand that it’s much more powerful than that.
If you hover over my pictures, you’ll see a “pin it” button, this helps promote my pictures to Pinterest. And even though the social sharing icons below my posts are more or less the same as I was using when I was using Digg Digg, I am using the standard icons because I like them. But, with Share Juice Pro I can change all the icons if I want to, and I can add my own icons, as easy as that (even I can do it). The plugin is highly configurable. Like I said, I can add my own icons, and I can add the social sharing buttons above my posts, below my posts and as a floating bar. I can also add a text above the buttons, it’s that says “If you enjoyed what you just read, please share the article”.
Why should you pay for Share Juice Pro?
Share Juice Pro is a premium plugin and the price is $10. It’s a one time fee. I didn’t think much about whether I should pay the $10 to buy Share Juice Pro or not. I know that there are a lot of similar free plugins, but the thing is that one of the most important plugins for my blog is the social sharing plugin. This is how I drive most of my traffic, and I want it to be as close to perfect as it comes. Like I said, Ashvini is an amazing person, and he loves to help people. When you buy Share Juice Pro, you get his support as well, and that is worth a lot more than the money you spend on the plugin.
I tell all my clients to use WordPress, and I tell them about the wordpress plugins I recommend, and right now, one of my favorite plugins is this one. I love the support from Ashvini and I know that he is working on some interesting updates as well, and he is always open for suggestions to make his plugins even better.
Which social sharing plugin are you using?
Like I said, before I started using Share Juice Pro, I was using Digg Digg, and I don’t know how many different plugins I have been testing during the past years, but it has been a lot. I’d love to get some feedback from you about which social sharing plugin you are using.
