Reverse spam for Affiliate Marketers

I have been thinking about an interesting method of earning commission as an affiliate marketer. The method is rather questionable, and I don`t think that I recommend doing it, but it just came to my mind and I thought I would share it with you.

But first, what is spam?

I am not going to even try to explain what spam is, instead I am referring to Wikipedia, and their definition of spam.

spamming is the abuse of electronic messaging systems to indiscriminately send unsolicited bulk messages. According to this definition, my method is not really spam.

Here`s the idea of reverse spam for affiliate marketers:

If you sign up for an account at Spam Arrest, every person who`s not on your “list of friends” will have to click on a link in their e-mail to get their messages through to your inbox.

I will try to explain how Spam Arrest works; You will have complete control of your inbox, and you put a list of e-mail addresses or domains that you want to receive e-mails from somewhere inside the system. If a person with an e-mail address that you have put on “your list of friends” sends you an e-mail, they will not have any problems sending it to you, they will not experience anything different. To them it`s like you don`t have any extra spam security at all. They will send their e-mail and you will receive it in your inbox within seconds.

… but if they have never sent an e-mail to you before, or if you have not put their e-mail address on your “list of friends”, they will immediately get an e-mail in their inbox (a few seconds after they have sent the e-mail to you) telling them that they will have to verify their e-mail address in order for the e-mail to reach your inbox.

This is where it gets interesting.

If you use Spam Arrest, you can also earn commissions on every sale. Every e-mail that people have to verify, that`s the e-mails to people that are not on your “list of friends”, your affiliate link is included. So, if they click on the link to Spam Arrest and want to know more about it and then maybe join, you will earn commission.

What if you signed up for a lot of newsletters and didn`t add the newsletter e-mail addresses on “your list of friends” at Spam Arrest? The owner of the newsletters will receive an e-mail from Spam Arrest asking them to verify their e-mail address in order to send you their newsletter. This way, they will have to manually verify their e-mail, and most people will probably do that, and many might click on the link to Spam Arrest to read more about the system.

You have done nothing wrong other than sign up for a newsletter, and if you are not insterested to be subscribed to their newsletter, just unsubscribe or block their e-mail using Spam Arrest and you will never receive any e-mails from them ever again (or they would have to their e-mail address).

But as I stated above, this method is rather questionable and I don`t recommend that you do it. You can probably do it if you want to join the newsletters and stay subscribed, but don`t use this method and join hundreds of newsletters in order to send them your affiliate link. It`s possible, but I don`t think it`s something you should do.

function launchAnim() {
var awin =‘′,’anim’,’height=250,width=475,scrollbars=0′);
if (window.focus) {
return false;
