Why do you read my blog?

I have been focusing on questions lately. To me, questions are more important than the answers. If you ask the right question, you’ll create a new way of thinking. If you ask me something I’ve never been asked, I’ll come up with an answer you would never expect.

I was thinking about a question, and I ended up telling you about my most important wordpress plugin. I was thinking about a question, and I ended up writing about the five things I would do differently if I started blogging today.

Now, I have a question for you:

Why do you read my blog?

I need the feedback, but I really didn’t want to ask you the question. It’s hard to face the facts; I need to evolve. I’ve realized that feedback is what makes me stronger, and feedback is part of how I grow. And, I have a different approach to life now. I have a new philosophy for living a happy life. Your feedback is an important part of how I deliver happiness.

    Hey Jens,

Well that’s an easy one. Because you’re an awesome writer and a fabulous story teller. I never know what you’re going to come up with next when I visit and I love hearing your spin on things.

You are a fabulous writer and we all only wish we could be half as good as you. You just have such a great way with words and although I may not hit every single post, I do my best to get by here often.

So I hope that was helpful and I’m sure everyone else will say the same thing.

Have a great rest of your week.

    • Hi Adrienne,

Thank you. I believe that you are the fabulous story teller, but thank you for your kind words. I’m doing my best to become better at what I do, and I just need to focus on why you are reading my blog and not start doing something completely different.

I hope you’ve been enjoying your weekend, I’ve started planning next week.

I am going to keep this short and I will go with what came to my mind first. You appear to be authentic. A quality missing in so many bloggers that I read.

  3. Ed King says:

Jens, I know I came across your site through one of my friends either on Twitter or Triberr (we have several mutual connections).

Not to sound like a repeat but authenticity is so important, I value your input and insight and your writing skills make me feel as if we’re holding a conversation around a coffee table and your sharing information that can help a friend.

I think you have valuable information and even in just the short time I have been following I have seen your writing and knowledge develop to something even greater.

    Thank you

    • Hi Ed,

I’m not sure when I first met you, but I have seen you all over the place on Twitter. But, since your twitter handle isn’t your name, I had no idea that it was you until you started commenting on my blog. And, that’s when we first connected. I’m grateful for that.

Thank you so much for the feedback.

I was asking the question, because I want to become better at what I do.

I like your honesty, openness and writing. I also want to stay connected with the group of people I first met online, as we’re on the journey together, and I want to stay connected to those who have become friends and colleagues…to assist and support where I can, to share laughter and tears, and to enjoy what we do. Cheers! Kaarina

    • Hi Kaarina,

That’s exactly how I feel about you. Your honesty and openness, and the way you write – and of course, like you said, we met a long time ago online. And, it’s been an awesome journey together. I’m looking forward to the rest of the journey.

      Thank you so much.

I read your blog because I want to be better blogger. You deliver posts that are unique, or lets say, you do your own thing your own way 😉

I have left this same comment in where this post was shared and bookmarked for Internet marketers.

    Sunday – contributor

  6. My initial motive was traffic (through comments)…but that is no longer the case 😀

Now, I visit your blog because I like the way you write…the style and your awesome stories (the stories make it more interesting).

I do agree with your statement on questions…I had just asked this question with my recent blog post (although mine was about introspection…asking others why they considered their blog special…so that I can pick up some tidbits and perhaps apply it to my own blog :D).

    • Thank you Jeevan. I have been caught up with my own projects lately, and I just had to ask this question. Sometimes, I feel that I’m writing for myself and that I need some feedback on why I am doing what I’m doing, and what I should be doing to keep evolving. I want my blog to be the best possible, and the only way to do that is to get feedback from you and my other readers.

    Hey Jens,

The question is easy to answer. The reason is that I wanted to know more from your experiences and to know some list of informative information that I can use in the near future.

You have a voice that enables me gauge more.

I found this post shared on, the Internet marketing social bookmarking and networking site, and I “kingged” it and left this comment.

Jens, I am delighted to tell you the reason I read your emails ‘without fail’. It’s simple. I trust you. I feel that you are REAL. I appreciate reading of your journey and admire your courage to be YOU and not portray anything false. I have read so many blogs, emails and website’s over the years, many are amazing experts, but I don’t stay and I actually forget them, but yours has remained constant and true. That’s why I continue to follow you.
With that all said your information is also very relevant to me in my SLOW journey and I learn valuable things from you and also see a different perspective which is helpful for me to see.
    Actually, THANK YOU.
    Kind regards
    Kristin in NZ
