Problems Earning Money From Amazon

For some time ago, I tried to promote products from Amazon on my blog. I think that Amazon is a great store and I believe that it´s possible to earn quite a bit of money by advertising their products, for instance books regarding Internet marketing. A few people that sees an advertisement on my blog for a very interesting book might buy it, and I would earn money as an affiliate.

But I soon realized that there might be a problem promoting products for Amazon as an affiliate. There are more than one amazon store, and when you sign up as an affiliate you have to sign up at one of the stores. At least that´s what I think, and I haven´t heard anything that proves me wrong.

So, if this is the case, which Amazon store should you choose to promote products from, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, France or China? I guess it all depends on where your visitors come from. I have signed up for the one in United Kingdom, because I am from Norway and I use the UK store to order various products from Amazon. But my visitors come from all over the world, especially from the United States.

Should I sign up as an affiliate at Amazon in the United States when most of my visitors are from the United States, or does it matter where my visitors come from? What happens when one of my visitors finds a very interesting Internet marketing book on one of my Amazon ads, and clicks on it to buy it, and then realizes that he or she is at the wrong Amazon store? A person from the United States hardly order anything from the store in United Kingdom. When they switch stores, will I still be the affiliate. And do you think that the person would switch stores, or just leave Amazon and find the book another day or somewhere else or not buy it at all?

I am not sure if this is how it works with Amazon, but I was a little worried about it, and that´s why I stopped promoting products from them.
