There are probably many reasons to why you should get yourself a Squidoo lens. But one obvious reason is the search engines. I have been doing many searches lately, and it seems like I am always finding a squidoo lens on the top 10 at google. I am not sure why, but it seems that Squidoo lenses are very popular with Google.
A Squidoo lens is very easy to create and it´s free. If you are unsure of what Squidoo really is, take a look at Wikipedia for more information. According to Wikipedia, “Squidoo is a website launched in October 2005. It is a platform designed to make it easy for anyone, for free, to set up a single page on a topic he or she knows or cares a lot about. Squidoo came out of beta testing in March 2006.”
My advise to you is if you are promoting a niche, create a Squidoo lens about it and you will hopefully get more visitors without having to pay anything at all. I am not sure if google will help you if you are promoting something generic with your Squidoo lens. I think that it might be better for people involved in niche marketing, but that´s just my guess.

I agree! Facebook is a great way to promote a business and/or website. I have also used Facebook to promote events. See you on Facebook!

Thank you for your comment. I have not used Facebook to promote any events yet, but it seems to be a great way to do so. I might try it sometime soon. Actually, I might try to promote a local concert this way
