Silence can say more than a thousand words. This is the first words at the site of onedayofblogsilence.com. It´s a site in the honor of the victims at Virginia yesterday. All bloggers around the world are being told not to blog on the 30th of April, stay silent and pay your respects.
I was going to try not to make this post into something political, but something is wrong and I just have to make some short comments. Because this is not the first time it is happening. Only two comments. First, how can a person like John McCain still believe that everybody should have the right to carry weapons after something like this happens again? Second, if I really wanted it, I don´t know how or where to get a weapon – but I live in Norway. If you don´t get a hold of a weapon, it´s a lot harder for something like this to happen.
I know that there is a way much more complicated situation than just how easy it is to get a hold of weapons. We can blame the media, we can blame the politicians and a lot of other people, but now it´s time to do something and stop blaming. Just do it!
I hope you will keep April 30th as the one day blog silence.
