Google Adsense have just released two new background colors for their referral buttons – blue and orange.

Well my thoughts are this.. If you are going to put it on a site where people are already coming for the content, then that is great. However, if you are using it on a splash page I wouldn’t use it if the ad is for another site.
When surfing traffic exchanges I think they kind of detract from the page. Especially pages like “Paid to Promote” pages, where they have a site in an iframe, then ads all around it, and then this ad that opens up over everything else. Its just plain ugly, and the only person benefiting is the one who’s site is in that top ad.
