My First Free Kindle Short Story is Available

I am currently at the office looking out the window and it’s raining. It’s not like the day when I told you about my summer vacation and how it was like by the ocean at 9 pm. No, it’s nothing like that. The sun hasn’t been around for a long time, and the dark clouds are surrounding me.

But.

I am so happy with my new office. I am more creative outside, no doubt about that, but I do most of my writing when I’m in my office. And now, I’m finally finished with my first short story for the Kindle. The story is based on Suspense and Marketing – My Easter Experiment (I started writing when I was on vacation in Denmark during Easter). But the story ended up being very different.

The reason I started out with suspense in mind was probably because I’m also writing a novel about a serial killer (I’m writing it in Norwegian). But, the short story is more or less an experiment on how it’s like to publish my own stories on Amazon. This is not a project to make money, not at all.

The story

I am actually not sure if I should tell you that much about the story. It might ruin your experience. Let me just give you the brief description, the one I used at Amazon:

Bill wakes up to a voice that sounds all too familiar. But it can’t be. His head is hurting, he can’t move his arms or legs. And the voice keeps saying; dad, we’ve got 17 minutes left.

I have added some familiar names to the story. I have added names like Bill, Ruth, Mark, Adrienne, Carolyn and Ben. I won’t tell you who they are, but if you’ve been around my blog for awhile you probably know who they are.

    If I can make a suggestion… Change the book cover. Looking at the cover I was unable to say what sort of book it is or anything about it. These days you can use Fiverr and give a few sample covers you like along with the theme, color etc and you can get a good one done for about $5.

      That’s a great suggestion. I have actually thought a lot about the book cover. I am not sure if I did the right thing, but the reason for the cover is the title. The name is fuzzy, and the book cover is also fuzzy :)

      I’ll see how many people are downloading it, and I’ll adjust it if not enough people are reading it.

    I have the book, just haven’t had a chance to read it yet; yes, I do recognize some of those names. Hopefully the serial killer doesn’t get me……..:). Did I tell you I’m fast….as in I can run fast……..
