I first heard of this marketing technique yesterday. I have tried similar techniques earlier, but without much success. But this technique / service that I discovered yesterday is a little different, and this might be why it actually works (at least thatīs what their website says).
The service is called 3 Way Links, and all you need to do is to submit your links to a database and according to the sales page this will only take you about 5 minutes. The service costs $47 a month, and it might be rather cheap if you consider what you get in return. I am not an affiliate or a member of 3 Way Links, so I am not saying that it works great and I am not telling you to become a member. I am just telling you about it, becaus I find this service interesting and it might just work.
Why do I think it might just work?
Search engines are good to sites with a lot of other sites linking to them, this makes the search engines “think” that your site is popular. And popular sites with good content will benefit from high rankings in search engines. With 3 Way Links, you wonīt just get many sites linking to your site if you link back to their site. This is what I have tested earlier, and I havenīt received any higher rankings or more visitors from this. The difference with 3 Way Links is that:
“Sites in the networks do not point directly to each other. They use a 3-way link pattern. So, for sites A, B and C: Site A links to Site B, Site B links to Site C and Site C links back to Site A….This 3-way link pattern is seen by search engines as a one-way link from A to B, a one-way link from B to C and a one-way link from C to A. Search engines give a lot of weight to one-way links, and therefore the system works.”
I am not sure if this is true, because I am no expert when it comes to search engines, but it sounds right to me. And if you visit 3 Way Links (the link opens up in a new window) you can read all the other details of why this system is so interesting.
It would be very interesting if it works as promised, only five minutes and $47 a month and you get all this exposure. Maybe something to think about?
