Marketing Strategies – Time after Time

This is my first post for my brand new category of Marketing strategies. I am starting this series of posts because I have a few thoughts regarding how to use creative ways to convince / persuade people to buy your products and services.

I have named today’s strategy Time after Time.

Tell people that instead of spending years making the same mistakes, spend a specific amount of time (minutes/hours/days/weeks) with you and become successful.

Well, don’t just tell them that they will be successful in a certain amount of time with you, tell them exactly what they will learn as well.

For instance, tell them that they will learn how to write killer headlines in 7 days (because your course is a seven day course). If you are promoting an e-book about Digg or StumbleUpon, read the e-book yourself, find out how much time you spent and say something like:

Don’t spend months making the same mistakes using Digg, I will teach you everything you need to know about Digg in only 35 minutes!

This strategy tells your prospects that they will save time if they purchase your help, advice, instructions or consulting to gain their desired benefit.

You know that they are making the same mistakes over and over again, because they are visiting your website / salespage. Would most people visit your website if they already knew everything that you are selling?

You can provide your help, advice, instructions or consulting in person, via the phone, or via a video webcast. What’s important is that people will jump at the chance to shed months or even years of frustration.
