I’ve tried many things, and the only thing that works ok without annoying your visitors/readers is a subscription form with some cool graphics. You should add an awesome gift. If you do, and it’s fairly visible to your readers, they’ll sign up

From your testing and experience what do you find works well without annoying users?

I currently use Awebers light box with a 5 sec delay but I think it is harming my sites reputation.

It’s also giving me quite a high bounce rate.

It seems that Dirk is using a pop-up instead. Don’t know why, probably because the results have proven to better with the pop-up?
