I agree with you. I have also been receiving notifications from conversations that drifted away from what I was interested in. But then again, I could unsubscribe from the post and I wouldn’t receive more notifications.

It’s good when the commenting design offers an optional checkbox, as you have done, that enables notification when there are follow-up comments. Although sometimes I get notifications of conversations that are still going and have long drifted from what the point of my comment – a bit confusing sometimes.

1) You don’t even need an account. I saw it a while back and just clicked to it now and it still has the conversation I was checking out listed on the front page for me.
