Is it never too late to join a company?

Companies seems to start up every minute on the Internet, and especially when it comes to multi-level marketing (MLM). When it comes to joining and promoting pre-launches or brand new companies, you could be in for a surprise. Many of them will vanish before you earn your first paycheck.

I don’t recommend joining a brand new hype, because you never know what will happen to it. But on the other hand, if you join the right company at the right time, not many people have heard about it and it would be a lot easier to promote than an “old one”.

I recommend joining a company that has been around for a while and a company that you know pays its members on time and has done so for a long time. But on the other hand, how easy is it to promote a company that has become very big and “everybody” has heard about or even read about?

For instance, if you consider Global Domains International (GDI) such a company, would it be possible to earn a considerable income from joining today? It seems that almost everybody involved in MLM has heard of the company and have either been a member of the past or are a member today. But there are of course a huge market out there for people who have not been involved in any multi-level marketing business before, and you could target them instead.

When is it too late to join a company, or is it ever too late? If the company is successful, should you join (if you like their products and think that this is something for you) or should you wait for a new one with fewer members?

I am not sure what I think about this, it’s a rather tough question to answer. I think that it might be possible to still earn a residual income with companies such as GDI, but then you might have to think alternative marketing and you can’t promote it through traffic exchanges and safelists. Well, you could, but then you might want to try a new approach, not just a normal splash page and send them to the GDI homepage and hope for them to sign up.

You would have to think new and alternative methods of marketing.

    1) You don’t even need an account. I saw it a while back and just clicked to it now and it still has the conversation I was checking out listed on the front page for me.

    2) You linked to it incorrectly. Forgot the HTTP =P

It’s good when the commenting design offers an optional checkbox, as you have done, that enables notification when there are follow-up comments. Although sometimes I get notifications of conversations that are still going and have long drifted from what the point of my comment – a bit confusing sometimes.

    Des,

I agree with you. I have also been receiving notifications from conversations that drifted away from what I was interested in. But then again, I could unsubscribe from the post and I wouldn’t receive more notifications.
