It´s really easy to get [tag]banned[/tag] from [tag]forums[/tag]. A few days ago, I visited one of the forums I usually visit. Since I am a [tag]vegetarian[/tag], I like discussing topics related to animal rights and food. At that particular day I decided to post a question regarding my new business Amigo Health.
The question was kind of straight forward, something like “Do you have any experience with Acai, Goji or Mangosteen?” These are the ingredients of the Amigo juice. A couple hours later I went back to the forums to see if there were any replies.
I couldn´t log in. I just recieved a message that I was banned from the forums and no date for when I can start to post again. I didn´t understand why, so I decided to write the moderator and ask. I received an email a few hours later saying that I had been banned because I had sent a spam to the forums.
The reason I was banned is because I mistakenly put a link to my business in the post. I told people that I had joined Amigo Health (just like this) and that I wondered if anybody had any experience with the ingredients. I did not try to ask people to buy my product or to say that this is a great business.
I wrote the moderator back, but several days later I haven´t heard anything. What should you learn from this? I don´t know… I have been marketing for more than five years, but I still don´t get it. I am doing mistakes all the time.
