How To Find Your Internet Marketing Niche

Every single day, I find at least twenty emails in my inbox, from well-known marketers that are raking in lots of cash from their Internet marketing efforts. They are using various techniques, from affiliate marketing to membership sites. It’s not hard to find successful marketers, people that are earning a living online. On the other hand, the failure rate when it comes to Internet marketing is very high. It’s been estimated to be more than 95%. I see at least two reasons why most people fail.

They should have a blueprint and they should find an awesome Internet marketing niche.

If you are not familiar with niche markets, I have looked it up for you. According to wikipedia, a business that focuses on a niche market is addressing a need for a product or service that is not being addressed by mainstream providers. A niche market may be thought of as a narrowly defined group of potential customers.

Any market that’s not addressed by mainstream providers can be considered a niche market.

Include All Three
Your main concern when it comes to finding your Internet marketing niche, should include three things (and it needs to include all three):

1. Any niche you have a great interest in, and
2. A popular niche, and
3. A niche that doesn’t have a lot of competition

Your Niche Should Be About Passion
Personally, I find that the part about passion is the most important one of the three. If you are not really that interested, you will most likely have to push yourself hard to work. Everything related to your work will be difficult. On the other hand, if you are passionate about your niche, you will probably feel like you arenít even working. You will enjoy just about everything that you do. And you will get more work done and produce high quality work.

Your Niche Should Be Popular
You canít just jump into a niche that close to nobody cares about. Let me give you an example. You could be passionate about making vases out of dried worms. If that’s your passion, you will probably have a lot of fun blogging about this topic and to make products to show people how to make their own dried worm vases. However, odds are that nobody else will care too much about this so the business will most likely fail.

Instead, a niche has to be something that others are interested in. Such niches usually fall into a category of making money, love, happiness, or self improvement. If a niche falls in one of these categories (or more than one) then you probably have a winner.

Your Niche Should Have Little or No Competition
You might think that competition is bad, but it really isn’t. Think about it this way. If there is a lot of competition then you know thereís a market for the niche. Just come-up with something a little unique or be prepared to work harder and smarter than the next guy.

It really is quite easy to find your Internet marketing niche. You simply have to consider your own interests, what others want and need, and then find your competition.
