Yes, it might be possible to buy an actual ad for the big game without having to pay anything yourself. Three guys from the US are giving it a shot, and they might succeed. I have no idea how hard this actually is, because the advertisement costs $3 million, I guess they will have to work pretty hard to get that kind of cash. But on the Internet almost anything is possible.

Anyway, I am thinking, what are they going to advertise? It seems that they are going to advertise the advertisers and all they want to do is star in the advertisement along with their friends. Not sure if I understand this, but it seems to be right according to what I read at their site www.mybowlad.com.
I think their idea is very interesting and creative. The are going to be doing an ad like the Bob Dylan music video, I have actually seen that… where he drops signs with words / lyrics. They are changing the words on the signs with logos for the advertisers. Behind the guys with the signs, there will be people with t-shirts showing off logos for the advertisers.
I am not sure how interesting the advertisement will be, many people and many logos. It might get a little confusing with all the various companies, logos in the front and in the back. What they probably should do as well though, is tell their advertisers who will put on the shirt with their logo. I would want the big breasted blond, I bet you that she will get all the looks from the viewers 🙂 Instead of just selling a spot on a t-shirt, they should probably be selling a spot on a t-shirt and a picture of the person who will be wearing it in the commercial. That´s just a thought to get it even a little more interesting.
The problem for the small business owners is the price, you would have to pay at least $15,000 to get a logo somewhere in this ad. For many, this is a high price to pay. But again, this might be their only chance of ever being a part of an ad in the Superbowl. $15,000 is a lot less than $3 million.
It´s going to be interesting to see what will happen to this project. If they fail at getting the ad in the superbowl, I am sure that they will get a lot of attention from the media, and their sponsors will get what they paid for, even though it was not the ad showing during the superbowl game.
