My novel is available for free

I’ve said that a serial killer is going to make this a fantastic year. I still believe that amazing things will happen in 2013. And that’s why I have decided to give my novel away for free. The name of the novel is Lizarraga, and it’s finally available.

the cover of my novel

Like I said, it’s completely free. You can download it on iBooks/iTunes (US) and iBooks/iTunes (Norway). This way, you can read it on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod. Before you decide to download it, I just want to say that I’ve written the novel in Norwegian.

Thank you for all your support.

Well congratulations Jens on the release of your book and that’s very generous of you to just give it away. Now I guess I’ll have to ask Carolyn but can we download an app that will translate the book for us into English? I SO want to read it. I have no doubt that it’s a great read. Heck, you wrote it.

Thanks Jens and again, congratulations. I downloaded it so now I’ll find out from Carolyn which app I can use because I have a feeling there’s one out there somewhere.

  2. I’m happy for you Jens for this new release. But can you help we English subscribers translate it in order to read?

Though it is available for free, I still believe something could be done for us to learn something from the Novel.
    Thanks for your generosity Jens.

  3. Wow..that is cool, to have written a novel and publish should make you feel proud. As others, i do hope there was a translation tool available, i would have loved to read/listen to it. Well, maybe one of your next ones will be in english 🙂

Any chance you have it translation in English?

Congratulations, Jens… I’ve noticed you accomplished everything you put your mind to… That’s the sign of a great entrepreneur : )

    Cheers to you my friend!

    Let’s Skype soon : )

Never fear, The Wonder of Tech is here! Worldictionary is the app to use for translating Nrowegian to English: Notice the demo in the article translating Norwegian to English.

Congratulations, Jens! I am so happy for you! I have downloaded the book and look forward to getting started with it!

    Way to go!

    • Thank you so much Carolyn. You always have the answers 🙂

My next story will be in English 😉

So Carolyn, I downloaded it from iTunes but how do I get it to move over to my iPod? I’ve tried everything and even when I’m on my iPod and have pulled up iTunes it says it’s downloading but I can’t see how to read it.

Does the dictionary app work while you’re reading it from the iPod Touch? You know that’s all I have… I’m so excited, I can’t wait to read it.

      • Carolyn says:

Hi Adrienne, Do you mean how do you move the Worldictionary app or the novel?

To get the novel on your iPod Touch, you have to have the iBooks app downloaded. Don’t worry, it’s free. Go to this link: from your iPod Touch or computer. (If you download it onto your computer, it will go into iTunes and then you sync your iPod Touch with iTunes.)

Open iBooks on your iPod Touch and you will see a wooden bookshelf. Click on Store in the upper left corner. The iBookstore will open. Search for “Berget” and choose jens-petter berget will appear. Choose him and then “Lizarraga” will appear. Press the “Free” button and the book will download into iBooks for you to read.

Unfortunately, if you only have one iOS device, Worldictionary won’t work because you have to use the camera on your device to translate the text. Even with two devices, using Worldictionary might be quite a bit too challenging for an entire novel.

I still wanted to get Jens’ novel so I could help support him even though I probably won’t be translating it into English.

Hi Adrienne, I just researched the issue, but Apple doesn’t have that capability for iBooks. Even if it did, looking up each word in a novel could be a bit cumbersome.

I think taking Norwegian classes might be easier!

          • Adrienne says:

Yeah watch out Carolyn, Jens and I might be speaking Norwegian soon. I’m going to have to master the language in order to read the book. Bummer, I was SO excited to read this gem. That’s okay, I’ll support him anyway.

            Thank you Carolyn!

My word Jens, you certainly get things done!

That’s a fantastic achievement that you’ve written a novel. Now I need to find some time to read the translation. I wish I knew some Norwegian!

  9. Ben says:

    Congratulations Jens, great achievement 🙂
