If you are not familiar with this headline, I can tell you that I am referring to two very interesting books. The Big Red Fez is written by famous marketer Seth Godin. This book is about “how to make any website better”, and he is actually saying that a website visitor is a lot like a monkey looking for one thing. You guessed it; the banana.
The tipping point is by Malcolm Gladwell and itīs a little different and not really about how to make a website better. But just listen to this; “it’s a book that presents a new way of understanding why change so often happens as quickly and as unexpectedly as it does… why is word of mouth so powerful? … It’s that ideas and behavior and messages and products sometimes behave just like outbreaks of infectious disease. They are social epidemics. The Tipping Point is an examination of the social epidemics that surround us.”
I canīt say how good any of the books are yet, but I am very eager to start reading both of them. And as soon as I finish, I will write a review and tell you if you should read them or not. Well, I have heard so many good things about both of them already, and I really doubt that I will say that you shouldnīt read them.
I bought both of them at Play.com, if you are interested you can buy them there as well (I am not an affiliate) or you can buy them at bookstores everywhere:
