Automatic Affiliate Links

Blogging

A few days ago I found an interesting plugin for wordpress. The plugin is called aLinks and it does something very interesting and hopefully useful to your blog. If you are using wordpress and you are blogging frequently, then you will have a lot of text in your blog. What aLinks does is this, just write a word or keyphrase and a URL that you want to relate to the keyphrase and click on save and this keyphrase will get a link on every page of your blog.

This is really powerful. Letīs say that you are promoting a nutrition company and you want to promote this company throughout your blog, but you havenīt always been writing about the company (it might be several years ago since you started the blog, and you might have changed companies a few times as well). Now you can just pick keyphrases and start to link them directly to your company without going through every post at your blog.

And if you want to relate your company to certain words automatically, you can do this with ease. So everytime you write a new post and it has this keyphrase in it, it will automatically become a link to your affiliate site. Not only that, but you can search the database for your keyphrases and change them (I think that this is right), so if you have been using one word (maybe the name of your first company) now you can change it automatically to the name of your new company all through your blog. Not sure why this is useful, but it might be.

I have only been using it for a few hours, and the only keyphrase I have tried so far is Traffic Exchange – this keyphrase links throughout my whole blog to the notification page of my new traffic exchange. With aLinks you can also specify how many times in each post that the keyphrase should become a link, and this is very useful, because sometimes you might use the keyphrase many times during a post and if it would become a link every single time it might destroy your message to the readers.

So far I am really enjoying this plugin, but I have one question that I havenīt figured out just yet. How do I delete links to my keyphrases without replacing them? It might be really easy, but I havenīt had the time to look into it just yet.

aLinks is completely free to download and use, and if you are using wordpress to promote stuff, I recommend that you give it a try. You can download it here.

Another thing I have been curious about lately, and I might not now what I am really talking about here. What is the difference between aLinks (completely free) and Affiliate Pro for WordPress (which has a price of $67)? I havenÂīt really been paying much attention to Affiliate Pro other than reading the sales page and watching a video. It looks like a really cool plugin as well, but for now I think that aLinks is doing the job great.
