Am I having flashbacks?

Yesterday or was it today? I received an e-mail from, well, I keep forgetting who.

The e-mail announced a one day sale, the biggest sale ever!

Don’t wait, today only, buy today gone tomorrow!

The problem is that this sale was exactly the same (and I mean identical) as Mike Filsaime’s expansion sale a few months (or was it weeks?) ago.

What is happening?
