An Affiliate Weapon Trick?

I have been a member of Ewen Chia´s Secret Affiliate Weapon for a while, and I am glad that I have. Since the time I signed up I have received a lot of interesting information, and I think that I have earned money from it as well. As you probably know already, Ewen Chia is a very successful online marketer. I always look carefully at what he is doing in order to learn.

Today I found a new feature that I wasn´t aware of. If you take a look at his sales page for the Secret Affiliate Weapon, just below the sign up form there is a feature called “time to download”. It´s a timer that is counting down from 3 minutes, and it seems that you are in a hurry and that you have to sign up during the three minutes or you won´t access the amazing free e-book.

Even though I have this e-book already and I am a member of Secret Affiliate Weapon, I found myself curious and kind of in a hurry to sign up. This is the first time that I have seen something like this. I have seen many one time offers, where you would have to decide whether you want to sign up or buy the product before you leave the page, because the offer will “never” return to you (I have also seen many one time offers that have been returning to me way more than one time).

Personally, I am a little curious about the timer and what will happen if you sign up after the three minutes are over. I waited a little while, about a minute, and I hit refresh and the timer started over again. Is the script really just there to trick you into signing up? If it is, is it working?
