My name is Jens-Petter Berget. I am the author of slymarketing. The blog is mainly about marketing and writing. I am working with community development in the city of Halden, Norway.
What I write
I first created this blog in order to learn marketing, and to teach you what I have been learning. I created the blog in order to get in touch with like-minded people, that’s people with a passion for marketing. I wanted to share my thoughts, and I wanted to learn. It’s the same today, several years later.
I’m still writing about my experience with marketing, for instance with posts like, where I buy my premium wordpress themes. But I’m also writing about my personal experiences in life. It’s a personal blog, and I don’t just write about marketing. I write about what comes to my mind, and sometimes when I shouldn’t have hit the publish button, I do it anyway. That’s part of being a personal blog.
The writing process
I write every single day, but most of what I write will never be published. Usually, I publish an article on this blog two times a week, but sometimes I’ll publish once a week, and other times I might publish every day of the week. What you need to know is that you’ll get fresh content every week, that’s a promise.
When I get an idea, I try to write it down, either on a piece of paper, on my iPhone or on my MacBook, or I might try to remember the idea. It all depends on where I am and what I’m doing.
I use different software to structure my blog posts. And, I am always testing new apps. I have added a page for all my marketing communication tools.
I’ve told you my name. And you already know that I’m from Norway. I’m 43 years old, I have a wife and three kids. I used to play basketball, now I’m mostly running to stay fit. I’m also a vegetarian.
I am usually the only writer at slymarketing. It could be that I add a guest post now and then, but usually it’s all me. I spend as much time as possible with my family, but I also spend about 8 hours a day at work.
I am writing a newsletter for my most dedicated readers. The newsletter is all about the most important marketing tips, and I usually publish it every Sunday. It’s completely free and packed with marketing tips that works. Click here to subscribe.
