There are 3 marketing tips you should really know. I’ve been using them for a while, and they’re all related to discussion forums.

I’m using discussion forums every single day as part of my 1 hour a day blog traffic technique. I do it because I get good quality traffic, but I also meet a lot of interesting people (and I learn a lot as well). And it’s a great way to market anything.
A lot of people have asked me if I use more than one discussion forum. My answer is that I use only one discussion forum and it’s digital point, a forum about internet marketing, and they have more than 56,000 active members. In other words, there are lots of members and if you use it right it can bring a lot of traffic.
Remember, this discussion forum is for my niche, Internet marketing. If you’re not involved in Internet marketing, you should find your own forum. There are discussion forums in every niche.
There are 3 marketing tips a lot of people don’t know about when it comes to discussion forums.
1. Sponsor
One of the easiest ways to receive direct traffic and links to your website, is to sponsor a wordpress theme. I paid $60, and my link was the only link on the wordpress theme. Actually, I felt like I had become a world class designer in 10 minutes.
What happens when you sponsor a WordPress theme is that the theme will get submitted to many different directories, where people can download it for free. You don’t know how many people are going to start using it, and you don’t know if they’ll remove your link, but your link will be in the footer on every single website that are using the theme that you sponsored. It can be a lot of links for $60.
2. Outsource Traffic
I don’t have much time, that’s why I create methods like the 10 minutes a day Twitter technique. I have also been outsourcing a way to get new visitors via Yahoo! Answers.
I read an advertisement about a guy who was earning money from answering questions at Yahoo! Answers. It was very cheap, and I thought, why not? The questions he was aswering were all related to my blog. That’s how I ended up with paid traffic from Yahoo! Answers.
3. Contests
I suck at design, I really do. When it comes to design, every single time I want something done, I end up having a contest. I’m not running a contest to generate traffic, but that’s what I’m receiving. I’m also receiving an awesome design (and usually it’s super cheap).
It took me a while to figure out, but discussion forums are not just a waste of time.
