How To Write Amazing Sales Copy Headlines

I am the first to admit that it's hard to write good sales copy. You have to think about every word you are using, because not only should your sales copy look good, be easy to read, but it needs to be high converting as well. It's really all about the sales When you are writing a sales copy, you need to think about the main goal, and the main concern of why you are writing. It's all about the sales. All you need to think about when writing, is how to convert each reader into a customer. It's not all about writing perfect english, even though spelling mistakes can hurt your business. Why the headline is important An amazing sales letter always begin with an amazing headline. The headline should capture the potential customer and get her to continue to read. Without the headline, you will have a difficult time to get people to continue reading. It usually starts with the headline, and many times, this is where it all ends as well. There Are No Magic Formulas Unfortunately, I haven't found a magic formula that will automatically turn every headline into an amazing headline. The reason that there are no magic formulas, is that every product or service is different and needs a different type of sales pitch. But there are a few main goals you need to focus on when writing your headline. Urgency is Effective Every headline you write should include a certain degree of urgency. In other words, you want to tell your reader that she needs to buy what you are selling as soon as possible. If you don’t create urgency in your headline, you need to make it urgent for them to read the rest of the sales copy. You Should Be Very Specific The more specific you can be with your headline the more people you’ll hook. For example, don’t just write that your product will help them earn money. Write that they will earn $900 within the first 2 weeks. Don’t just tell them that reading your e-book will save them time; tell them it will help them save 2 hours every single day. You should Make It Unique You need the headline to stand out from the crowd, it needs to be more amazing than all the other ads that your potential customer is being bombarded with. You either need to find a unique selling point or you need to find a unique way to present that selling point. You Should Make it Useful There's got to be something in it for them. No one will read it unless they think that you are presenting something useful. Make sure you tell the reader why they should keep reading or why they should buy your product. Put a great hook in your headline or include a great benefit. One of the best techniques is to take the best benefit of a product and work that into a headline. Never Forget AIDA When it comes to writing amazing sales copy, you should always think of AIDA. It's a formula for writing your sales copy in general, but you can use it for headlines as well. A - Attention I - Interest D - Detail A - Action Let me explain AIDA using just one sentence; Always use a headline that demands attention, make your potential customer curious, include powerful details about your product and a call for action. Brian Clark of Copyblogger has written one of the best blog posts about how to write headlines that work. He discusses eight time-tested headline categories that compel action and rake in sales, some of the headline examples he discusses uses AIDA. You should always consider to use keywords, hot trends and superlatives in your headlines. One of my favorite headline techniques is to use testimonials to create trust. You should use the testimonial technique to add proof to your headline, proof that your product really works. Add a testimonial from a few of your customers, and turn it into a headline. If it's authentic, it becomes a powerful headline. If you want to take your copy writing skills to the next level, you could read Words That Sell, a very popular book. Or, you can take a look at a very interesting service that "promises" you Advertising Headline Templates That Make You Rich. I don't have any experience with it, but it looks exciting enough.
