Should Your Really Be Using Comment Kahuna?

I have just been looking at the video over at Comment Kahuna, and I must say that I am impressed with the software.

What it does is that it helps you find the top ranking (PR) blogs in whatever category or keyword niche you like. It searches the Internet, I am not sure, but I think it uses Google. And you can fill in your comments for the keywords first and save them, and then you find all the top blogs and it takes a few seconds on each blog to leave your comment.

This is a great way to build backlinks from blogs with high page rank, something you really should want because this will get you higher in the search engines and it will get you more traffic.

But, I am not going to be using Comment Kahuna, and I will tell you why. 

With this software, you will most likely be publishing general comments, it seems that the software is based upon you writing the comments before you find the blogs and then you just click the button to leave the same comment on many blogs, if this is going to work and not be considered as spam, you need to leave general comments.

I don’t like general comments. I like my comments to be helpful, even though I realize that they might not be all the time. I leave comments that I think will be encouraging the writer to write more like the post I just left a comment on, or that the writer will learn something from my comment. With a general comment, I won’t be able to do that, at least not in the same way as I am doing at the moment.

With Comment Kahuna, I would probably be leaving identical comments on many blogs. That’s not who I am. I like to be different, and I like to read the story and leave a comment related to the story. I am not going to spread identical comments all over the blogosphere.

And finally, I like to follow up all my comments. What if the author of the post will reply to my comment? With Comment Kahuna, I will never see the reply. Most likely I will not be coming back to the blogs I am leaving comments on. I will never be able to follow up on the comments and I will not be enjoying the conversation.

Today, I am using co.mments to track all my comments and to help me be in the conversation. Hopefully, Comment Kahuna will add a feature like this in their next version, if they do, I will probably review my decision to not use it.

With Comment Kahuna I would only be leaving comments for the sake of traffic, but that being said, I believe that you can get a lot of traffic by using Comment Kahuna
