What to do when you meet a Celebrity

I have been to Gothenburg (Sweden) for a few days. I was there with my wife doing some christmas shopping. The weekend was great, everything was exactly as I hoped it would be. And we actually did buy most of the christmas gifts, just a few left and a week left to buy them. As I walked by myself, while my wife was in a shop that I didn't care that much about, I stumbled upon a familiar face. It was a guy that I had seen before, but at first I wasn't sure where. But then, a few seconds later, I remembered. I had seen him on a popular TV show. Wow, I was standing next to a celebrity. And then everything stopped, time stopped, I stopped being myself, people stopped walking, all the noise and all the talking was gone, it was like everything stopped, it was surreal. I guess that it was just me, because nothing really stopped, nothing really happened. I didn't know what to do, well, that's what happened. In my world everything stopped for a few seconds, seconds that at the time felt like hours. I was just standing there, with a small grin on my face. Should I say hello or just nod my head and keep walking, eventhough I don't know the guy? I did what I thought was best for him and probably the best for me as well. I did not speak and I did not nod, I looked away and kept walking. As soon as I had passed him, I stopped, I turned and looked at him from behind (where he couldn't see me). I was there on the corner looking at all the people who stopped and talked to him, they did what I thought I should have done. But I kept thinking that I did the right thing. It looked like he had a hard time doing the shopping or whatever he was supposed to be doing. I had a hard time shopping, because of all the people, I couldn't even imagine how hard it would be to shop for this guy. I got a question for you. What should you do if you meet a celebrity? I am not sure if I did the right thing, because it's kind of hard to think when you are standing there, right in front of one. I bet that it all depends on who you meet. The guy I met is a celebrity in Norway and Sweden, and it was not that difficult to just keep on walking. I am not sure what would have happened if I met Brad Pitt or George Clooney or some other Hollywood celebrity. It would probably be a lot harder to do whatever I was suppose to be doing. Anyway, I really enjoyed the trip to Gothenburg and I enjoyed looking at the celebrity from a distance, trying to imagine how hard it would be shopping for christmas if people actually recognized my face.
