I just hate this kind of ad

Today I am giving you an example of e-mail ads I just hate. Don't get me wrong, I know that it's an ad before I open it and the e-mail is really entertaining. But that's not the problem. What I don't like is when marketers misleading you (not sure if misleading is the right word here...). Today I received an e-mail with the subject; "Jens, my wife left... (here's the story)". And Jens being my first name, if you received the email, your name would be there instead of mine. I knew it was an email ad, because the person who sent it has not sent me anything other than email ads in the past. But I thought maybe today was different, did he have something on his mind, did his wife really leave him? I guess not, but I thought maybe there was a chance that she left him and he actually made an email ad about it (well, you never know in the world of online marketers). So, what happened next? I opened the e-mail and the first line of text was this: "I almost didn't send you this email today, crazy story, here it is... It all started when my wife LEFT the car KEYS inside the car and LOCKED it. Don't you just hate it when that happens?" Well, I just hate it when I get email like this. But why do I keep opening them? Maybe I am just too darn curious :-)
