Viral Friend Generator

Mike Filsaime has just launched his newest viral marketing software called Viral Friend Generator. In the last ten minutes or so I have received about 10 offers from various marketers. It seems that there’s quite a buzz about it and that it for sure will be a hit, at least for Mike Filsaime.

I am not going to buy it (at least not yet), it costs $97 and it might work great (I have no idea if it does or not).

I am a gold member at Affiliate Funnel

I just had to write another post about Affiliate Funnel. Now, I have figured out how it works (it wasn’t that hard) and everything seems to be working 100% for me. When I first joined I wasn’t sure if my programs where the only programs that would be visible to my downline or not. At first when I started to add my programs I also saw programs from my upline as well.

Don’t you just hate this?

A few minutes ago I found a very interesting e-book that I have been thinking of buying for a long time. Now, I found a great offer, and I thought I’d buy it. The offer was a lot better than I had seen before. Everything fine so far.

What I don’t like is this. The sales page says “instant download”, but when I pay with PayPal I receive a thank you page saying that I will be contacted within 24 hours. My first response to this is “What the …..!” Why does it says instant download when it’s not?

Criteo AutoRoll Widget

Today I was contacted by a project manager at CRITEO, he presented a new widget (in beta) that he asked if I could help test on my blog. I took a look at it and after a few minutes I thought why not? The widget both looks good and it seems to be working great, well as far as I can see.

The widget is an AutoRoll widget, much like a blogroll. It handles links to other blogs for you. Instead of you having to do everything manually, it does it automatic for you. It also tracks what your visitors are clicking on.

Affiliate Funnel has just launched

I am sitting here and going through my e-mail and it strikes me that I missed the first hours of Jon Olson´s new program. If you don´t know who he is, he is rather famous in the Traffic Exchange industry, he owns both I Love Hits and SWAT Traffic (both are really great). When I read the first e-mail with information about Affiliate Funnel, I thought “what is that guy up to now?” Because everytime he is up to something, it turns out to be something very interesting.

It seems that this time is no difference.

How to track your comments

I have been leaving comments at many blogs without ever checking if somebody wrote a comment on any of my comments. When I think of this now, it sort of like what’s the point of me leaving the comments if I never check what happens to my comments? In my opinion, if you leave comments on blogs, you should follow-up on them. That’s sort of the whole point of the comments.

But how do you follow-up or track your comments to see if there are any new comments on the same post and if somebody has left a comment about your comment and so on?

How to get inside the Playboy Mansion

Most bloggers can write as much as they want and they will never get more than a few sites linking to their posts. The reason for that is that most bloggers are ordinary people writing ordinary stuff. Why should we link to ordinary stuff? Normal people are no fun or?

We want to write about people with interesting and/or “wild” ideas, people who do stuff others won´t do. And when it comes to marketing, there are no better way to get your name all over the Internet than to come up with a “wild” idea and send your idea to a few bloggers.

Rules for responding to comments

I have been reading a great book about blog marketing, it´s actually called Blog Marketing and the author is Jeremy Wright. If you haven´t read it yourself yet, I recommend that you do so. Well, there are many great things about this book that I probably should write about, and eventually I might, but today I thought I write a short post about the three rules of responding to comments on your blog.

I have never thought of it as rules, I have just been responding to comments when I felt the need to do so. But when I read about the three rules, they all sound simple enough and reasonable.

Too many pings?

I have been wondering about this for quite some time now, and I can´t seem to find the answer. Most bloggers are desperately to ping the most popular services such as Technorati, this way Technorati will now that the blog is updated and it will have links and summary of the recent updated post, and this will/might generate traffic to the blog.

Many bloggers will then ping Technorati (and other services) more than one time for the one new/updated post. I have done something in the past week or so that I probably shouldn´t.

Brilliant Button Maker

This is a post to all you people who are as incompetent as myself to make good looking buttons. I have tried so many times, but I just don’t get it. I can make buttons, but they doesn’t look good at all. So, when I found this new software I was really happy. It’s the brilliant button maker by Luca Zappa. I have already tried it and you can see the results in my sidebar.

Ooops I did it again

Ooops I did it again, but this is not me :-) Yesterday I received an e-mail from PayPal saying something like this: “Notification of your subscription payment”. I receive this a few times a month, due to the fact that I am paying for a few subscriptions with PayPal. So, nothing new really. But what I thought was interesting is that I couldn´t recognize the amount that I had just paid.

Yes, I bought Marketing Explosion

Yesterday I did something I almost never do. I bought something without spending more than 2 minutes reading the offer. That was partly because I didn’t have more time than the two minutes and because the offer was both cheap and very tempting.

The offer was from two well-known marketers and it was something new that I hadn’t seen before. The men behind it are Simon Hodgkinson and Jeremy Gislason.

Free Online Marketing Gifts

Today I stumbled upon a site that I thought I should share with you. The site is called Intensive Giveaways and the creator/owner is Raamacant S, the man behind OTO Goldmine.

Intensive Giweaway is really a site where you get lots of free online marketing tools, yes they are completely free and you do also get master resale rights to many of them.

Personal photo in my RSS feeds?

I have seen a few of the really good bloggers posting images in their rss feeds. This make their feeds stand out from the crowd and it makes the feed more interesting to read. It seems that what they are doing is use images in their original post and then use the same images inside their feeds.

I thought of something that I would want to try, or at least want to hear your opinion of.
