11 Books You Should Read

It’s that time of the year again. I live in Norway. It’s completely dark outside. It’s raining, and it’s getting colder every single day. At the moment, I believe everybody is sleeping. I’m awake. I’m sitting by the fireplace, watching the flames, writing and thinking about life and work.

I’ve discovered a quote, by Michael Korda, that you should consider adopting:

To succeed, we must first believe that we can.

It’s true. We must first believe that we can. Sometimes, we must fake it, before we make it. But, we always need to believe that we can have success, only then will we experience it.

In a few minutes, I’ll be reading. It’s become part of my morning routine. I start with writing, and I end up with reading. This is how I get my mind working, and it’s how I start being creative, before the daily to-do list and the chores kick in.

When I combine the reading and writing, many times, it ends up in writing book reviews. Today, I want to share with you, 11 books you should read:

Have you read any of them?

Do you recommend any other books?

Let’s discuss.

I haven’t read this. Any particular reason for recommending them? Anything extra special about them? Sharing that will help encourage more people to read them, I think.

    Hi Jens,

Thanks for these suggestions. To be honest, I only know a few of these books. They all seem books to discover your own path, and to get yourself motivated to outperform.

What wasn’t entirely clear, and that’s a discovery for me, is that you have written book reviews for each of these books.

Simpleology seems very interesting, so I’ll try that one. The Toilet Paper Entrepeneur is another one that goes onto my Kindle 😉 Thanks !

    • Hi Tom.

I probably should have explained that I had written a review of each of the books. I am not sure what I was thinking when I wrote the post, but the reason I didn’t explain anything about the books, is that I had already written the reviews.

      I might rewrite the text.

I love reading books!I grab a lot of Kindle books and read them while commuting, waiting and while going to bed. It is a great experience to read a wide variety of books and in particular, I love reading business books and self-help/motivational books.

Thanks for sharing this list. I’ll check them out!

    • Hi Jane,

I love reading books too. I buy most of my books on Kindle, but I still enjoy reading the regular paper books the most. The reason I buy them on my Kindle is that it’s a lot cheaper (I live in Norway), and it’s a lot faster. I get the books instantly, instead of waiting for weeks.

I haven’t read nor heard these books yet, but then when I review your brief description about each book, I thought that maybe I could try to read one. Although I have expected that these books could be expensive thou but I know its worth more than just that.

Maybe I could check these one out! Thanks for sharing! 

I found and I “kingged” this on the Internet marketing social site – and left a comment.

I’m envious about the part that you’re sitting beside your fireplace and reading, I would like to experience that feeling. Will take your word for it, Jes. Looks like the “War of Art” seems interesting, would pick that first.

    • Hi Gladys,

I sit by the fireplace and read almost every single day. It’s that time of the year in Norway. It’s cold and dark outside, so sitting by the fireplace is one of the best things to do at the moment.

I haven’t even heard of any of those books. I read one a few years back called Marketing Outrageously, which was really interesting.

I don’t read much non-fiction, but those all seem like interesting choices should I decide to give it a go.
